Who We Are
What We Represent
MISSION
Working to further the Wildlife Profession in New York State, our mission statement is as follows:

The New York Chapter of The Wildlife Society (TWS) is a scientific and educational organization serving and representing wildlife professionals in New York State. We promote the highest possible standards among those working with wildlife resources and the public that use them. We strive to increase awareness and appreciation of wildlife values. We also seek to ensure that wildlife resources and their habitats are managed according to sound biological, economic, and social principles.
OUR
THEMES
We are primarily concerned with and engaged in issues of wildlife conservation and management in New York State (freshwater, marine, terrestrial, air). However, we recognize a connection to other landscapes and ecosystems. As such, NY TWS is part of the larger Northeast TWS Section and parent national organization, The Wildlife Society.
